omigad, I can't believe it was 12 years ago, when I was able to go and see the Jane Siberry trio of shows at The Bottom Line in NYC. Really, a-ma-zing!

Anyone who knows me, knows. I am a fan. I hardly miss an opportunity to see her live. These 3 shows were so great.
I'd have to admit that she's fallen off my radar, I know has has a new name & album out, I will have to check it out, hopefully sooner than later.

I have seen her in NYC, SF & Portland, but these 3 shows are one of my fondest memories in NYC. I went one time a lone, once with Mary and the third one, i think a group of us made it.

cubical life

You think your life is boring? 

You should sit at my cubicle and listen to my co-worker, 

you can't help it, 

he doesn't have a clue the cubicles do not block out sound. 

Everyone can hear him. 

Just like the number zero, None. 

His oral fixation? 

Hearing himself speak! 

His run . his bike ride . his dog . any given movie or television show. his shoe size . snacks and the ingredients of the last snack he ate . why and how it tasted better than the same snack he ate 9 days ago . the last crap he took . you name it, he will talk about it.  

Non Stop.  

I may be willing to give out his direct line if you should need proof. 

Ha! I could just hear it now, you call and say "Hey ~~~~, what did you have for dinner?" 

then, he gets off phone with you.  And talks to everyone here about it. 

"someone called me today and asked what i had for breakfast, of course it was cereal with strawberries, but i didn't tell them it was corn flakes, do you think they will call back? i used two percent milk, all out of skim, i think i am going to have tuna for lunch, o look a puppy!" and on and on.....

Seriously.

mmm, I love pickles

Not all pickles*, especially this (icky) bread & butter ones, you are a lucky person if you like them & are around me. They are ALL yours, my friend. 

But a nice crisp kosher dill, mmmhm, you just can't go wrong. 

I am posting this because the other day I was eating a pickle with my very delicious burger & though of what's the best thing to have with a pickle?

answer: good conversation

Sitting in almost any deli restaurant in NYC, and that they will bring you a (delicious) bowl of pickles before your meal, before you order. in a word? heaven.

* I don't love all pickles, but I do love all olives!
